Quilt Kit – Zephyr – 96″ X 102″ Blue Gray And White Queen Size Quilt – Top & Binding..

Zephyr (from Zephyrus–a Greek god of the west wind) has come to mean a breeze that is westerly or gentle or both. The name fits with the “clean” sky blue and white that are predominant in this quilt design along with some gray. All of the fabrics featured in Zephyr are Essentials Basics from Wilmington Prints. The quilt is a generous 96″ x 102″ queen size allowing for an 18″ drop on the sides. It has an 18″ center block surrounded by a variety of 9″ blocks, then 6″ blocks and 3″ x 6″ units, all framed by a border of 12″ blocks and a simple final border. The design is all about the color effects created by overlapped color placement from block-to-block. A quilter with moderate skills or a very confident beginner looking for a bit of a challenge will find it achievable and enjoyable. NOTE: THIS IS THE KIT VERSION OF THIS QUILT AND NOT THE BLOCK OF THE MONTH!

The kit contains a color copy of the Zephyr pattern/instructions by Wilmington Prints along with enough fabric to complete the Queen Size Quilt top as shown in picture 1. This kit contains all fabrics required for the top of the quilt and edge binding. Backing and batting will need to be purchased separately.

The overall finished size of this quilt is 96″ x 102″.

There are no substituted fabrics! Picture 2 shows the actual fabrics included in this kit, pictures 3 thru 10 show most of the blocks you will be making to complete this quilt. The 3″ x 6″ blocks are not shown due to limited spaces.

8-7/8 yards is recommended for backing fabric assuming a standard 44/45″ width or 3-1/4 yards if using a 108″ backing fabric. We carry fabric options for your backing if you would like to purchase it with your kit to receive the free domestic priority mail shipping.

A little over 22-1/4 yards of fabric is included with the kit along with the pattern. NOTE: FABRICS IN THIS KIT ARE PACKAGED IN THE SAME ORDER AS LISTED IN THE PATTERN TO MAKE THEM EASY TO IDENTIFY!
