Quilt Kit – Pineapple Rush – 52″ X 65″ Totally Tropical Batik Throw Quilt – Top & Binding

These one-of-a-kind Artisan Batiks are produced on the island of Java in Indonesia by skilled dye masters. Each yard of these sumptuous fabrics is unique. The fabric is hand-stamped and then hand-painted multiple times, with many different pairs of hands working on every yard. Most of the work is done outside, so the weather greatly influences the results. Due to this specialized hand-process, there is a consistency to color and pattern, while maintaining subtle color variations that are so important to this traditional technique.

100% combed cotton batik fabric hand made in Indonesia. Machine wash cold, no bleach, wash dark colors separately, tumble dry low, remove promptly.

The overall finished size of this throw quilt as shown in picture 1 is 52″ x 65″.

The kit contains a FREE copy of the Pineapple Rush pattern and instructions designed by Ariga Wilson for Robert Kaufman Fabrics along with enough batik fabric to complete the quilt top and edge binding as shown in picture 1. Backing fabric and batting will need to be purchased separately.

Fabrics in this kit are from the Totally Tropical and Prisma Dyes Batik (Navy) collections by Robert Kaufman Fabrics. Picture 2 shows the fabrics included in this kit. There are no substitutions in this kit!

Skill Level: Intermediate

Backing fabric and batting are NOT included in this kit.

The pattern recommends 3-3/8 yards of fabric for your backing assuming a 44/45″ width along with an 60″ x 73″ piece of batting. Additional fabric could be needed if using a directional print or fabric design matching. BACKING FABRIC AND BATTING ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THIS KIT. You can purchase coordinating fabric from the collection for your backing if you desire, and it will be shipped with your kit.

Over 10-5/8 yards of fabric is included with the kit along with a printed color copy of the pattern.
