Quilt Kit – Paws For Thought – 68″ X 68″ Bear Paw Plaid Batik Throw Quilt – Top & Binding

The creation of batiks is an ancient art that has been passed down through generations of artisans. Banyan Batiks are handmade by the local artisans of Indonesia who take pride in their culture and leading expertise in batiks.

The picture of this quilt does not do it justice as the lighter colors are not quite accurate. Pay close attention to the sample block shown in picture 2 and the actual fabrics shown in pictures 3 thru 8 for fabric color accuracy. I will change out the main photo once I have my quilt completed assuming we don’t sell out before I get it made.

100% cotton batik fabric. Machine wash cold water, delicate dry cycle, use cool iron.

The overall finished size of this throw quilt as shown in picture 1 is 68″ x 68″.

The kit contains a FREE copy of the Paws for Thought pattern and instructions designed by Banyan Batik Studios along with enough fabric to complete the quilt top and edge binding as shown in picture 1. Backing fabric and batting will need to be purchased separately.

Printed fabrics in this kit are from the Bear Paws Plaid, Daisy Chain and BFF collections by Banyan Batiks. Pictures 3 thru 8 show the fabrics included in this kit.

Skill Level: Confident Beginner (standard machine pieced blocks with flying geese)

4 yards of fabric is recommended for the backing assuming a 44/45″ width along with a 76″ x 76″ piece of batting. Additional fabric could be needed if using a directional print or fabric design matching. Backing fabric and batting are NOT included in this kit.

About 6-3/8 yards of fabric is included with the kit along with the pattern.
