Quilt Kit – Maple Prism – 57″ X 52″ Quilt – Top & Binding

This striking quilt uses two pieces of fabric and foundation paper piecing. The beauty is in the use of gradients to provide the illusion of multiple fabrics.

All fabric is 100% quilter’s grade cotton. Machine wash warm, mild detergent, non-chlorine bleach only, tumble dry low, use warm iron.

The overall finished size of this quilt as seen in Picture 1 is 57″ x 52″.

The kit contains a purchased copy of the Maple Prism pattern designed by Laureen Smith of Tourmaline & Thyme Quilts along with enough fabric to complete the quilt top and edge binding as shown in picture 1. Binding fabric is the same black as shown in Picture 2. Backing fabric and batting will need to be purchased separately.

Printed fabrics in this kit are from the Fall Glory & Belle Basics collections by Timeless Treasures. Pictures 2 and 3 show the fabrics included in this kit. There are no substituted fabrics in this kit. The ombre leaf print does have metallic gold leaf outlines and leaf veins. The black fabric has been lightened slightly in the picture to better show the beautiful tonal leaf scroll design.

Skill Level: Confident Beginner (foundation paper piecing of blocks, copies will need to be made of the foundation pattern pieces)

3 yards is recommended for the backing assuming a 44/45″ width along with a 67″ x 60″ piece of batting. Backing fabric and batting are NOT included in this kit.

7-1/4 yards of fabric is included with the kit along with the pattern/instructions.
