Quilt Kit – Indigo Splash – 95.5″ X 95.5″ Blue And White Queen Size Quilt – Top & Binding

Cool blue and fresh white is one of the most popular home decor color combinations – witness the popularity of both new and antique blue and white china and pottery. Indigo Splash is the newest collection by Dina June for Wilmington Prints featuring mandalas, paisleys, and ikat inspired patterns. This fabulous quilt is 95-1/2″ square – a generous queen that can easily be enlarged to a king size. There are 6 different 15″ blocks including modified “Storm at Sea” and “Star of North Carolina” blocks which require included templates. A beautiful repeating stripe borders the quilt and the smaller stripe (that looks a bit like ikat) is also used in piecing Block #1. Since there are blocks with templates and slightly challenging construction, this project may be best-suited for quilters with moderate skills or for very confident beginners who are ready to build skills. 100% cotton fabric. Machine wash cold gentle cycle, tumble dry low gentle cycle, do not use bleach, fabric softener not recommended.

The kit contains a copy of the Indigo Splash pattern/instructions by Wilmington Prints along with enough fabric to complete the queen size quilt top and edge binding as shown in picture 1. Backing fabric and batting will need to be purchased separately. Fabric Utopia carries several coordinates from the collection that can be purchased for your backing.

Printed fabrics in this kit are from the Indigo Splash collection designed by Dina June for Wilmington Prints. Pictures 2 shows all the fabrics included in the kit, and pictures 3 thru 10 show some of the fabrics in larger pictures. There are a total of 17 different fabrics included in this kit and not enough room to show all of them in detail, but they can be viewed in our individual listings. There are no substitutions in this kit.

Skill Level: Intermediate or Advanced Beginner ready to build skills

The pattern recommends 8-3/4 yards of fabric for the backing assuming a 44/45″ width fabric or 3 yards if using a 108″ backing option along with a 104″ x 104″ piece of batting. Additional fabric could be needed if using a directional print or fabric design matching. Backing fabric and batting are NOT included in this kit.

A little over 18-3/4 yards of fabric is included with the kit along with the pattern.
