Quilt Kit – Bzzzzzz Mini – 32″ X 32″ Bumble Baliscapes Batik Bee Circle Mini Quilt – Top & Binding

The “Bzzzzzz” Mini Quilt pattern features the Bumble Baliscapes Batik collection by Anthology Fabrics. Bzzzzzz is an award-winning modern, graphic wall hanging/mini quilt featuring a combination of traditional machine piecing and foundation paper piecing. Pattern makes one 32″ x 32″ block. Make additional blocks to make a larger quilt (layout ideas are provided to make a lap, twin or queen quilt). This tested pattern contains both detailed instructions and diagrams, making it easy to piece.

FABRIC: This exquisitely handcrafted batik is from the beautiful island of Bali, reflecting the island’s tapestry of color and texture. Artisans use a meticulous time-honored process to produce the batiks by applying intricate stenciling to the cotton fabric. It is then treated with layers of dye and wax for masking innovative designs as well as traditional patterns. The beauty of hand-dyed batiks is that every fabric will vary from one another making each one unique and one of a kind.

100% cotton fabric. Machine wash cold, no chlorine bleach, tumble dry low.

Fabric is handmade in Indonesia.

The kit contains a purchased copy of the Bzzzzzz Mini Quilt pattern/instructions designed by Whole Circle Studio for Windham/Anthology Fabrics along with enough fabric to complete the quilt top and edge binding as shown in picture 1. Backing fabric and batting will need to be purchased separately. Fabric Utopia carries several coordinates from the collection that can be purchased for your backing.

The overall finished size of this quilt as pictured is 32″ x 32″.

Batik fabrics in this kit are from the Bumble Baliscapes Batik collection by Anthology Fabrics. Pictures 2 thru 7 show the pattern and fabrics included in the kit. There are no substitutions in this kit.

Skill Level: Confident Beginner (traditional piecing and foundation paper piecing)

This quilt will require 1 yard of a coordinating 44/45″ wide fabric for your backing along with at least a 36″ x 36″ piece of batting. Additional fabric could be needed if using a directional print or fabric design matching. Backing fabric and batting are NOT included in this kit.

A little over 3 yards of fabric is included with the kit along with the pattern. NOTE: ALL FABRICS ARE PACKAGED IN THE SAME ORDER AS LISTED ON THE PATTERN TO HELP YOU KEEP THEM ORGANIZED!
