Quilt Kit – Awesome Ocean – 37″ X 43″ Calm Waters Sea Life Sampler Small Quilt – Top & Binding

This fat quarter-friendly sampler quilt features a reef full of underwater friends, including: Salty Seahorse, Angelica, Tony the Turtle, Chuckles, Puffy, Mr. Manatee, Kelp, and Preppy the Whale. Make a Large Sampler Quilt with 8 of each block or a Small Sampler Quilt with 2 of each block. Everything is sewn using conventional patchwork techniques. THIS QUILT KIT IS FOR THE SMALL SAMPLER QUILT MEASURING 37″ X 43″.

FABRIC: Calm Waters, designed by Bernadett Urbanovics for Figo Fabrics, was inspired by the whimsical world of the deep ocean. This gender-neutral collection is a nice addition to any modern nursery with its navy, gold, and beige colors, featuring plants and animals of the ocean.

100% cotton fabric. Machine wash cold, tumble dry cool, do not bleach, iron on back if necessary.

Fabrics printed in Korea.

The overall finished size of this small sampler quilt as shown in picture 1 is 37″ x 43″.

The kit contains a purchased copy of the Awesome Ocean pattern and instructions (2nd edition) designed by Elizabeth Hartman along with enough fabric to complete the quilt top and edge binding as shown in picture 1. BACKING FABRIC AND BATTING WILL NEED TO BE PURCHASED SEPARATELY.

Printed fabrics in this kit are from the Calm Waters designed by Bernadett Urbanovics, Serenity Basics and Elements collections by Figo Fabrics a division of Northcott. Pictures 2 thru 5 show the pattern and fabrics included in this kit. There are no substitutions in this kit!

Skill Level: The projects in this pattern use small pieces and are recommended for quilters familiar with rotary cutting and patchwork piecing.

The pattern recommends 2-1/2 yards of fabric for your backing along with a 41″ x 47″ piece of batting. Additional fabric could be needed if using a one way design or for pattern matching. Backing fabric and batting are NOT included in this kit.

A little over 4-7/8 yards of fabric is included with the kit along with the pattern.
