About the Instructor Carolyn Coffman
Carolyn lives in Saint Johns, Michigan. She is a retired banker and was involved in bank operations for over 35 years. Carolyn describes her introduction to quilting by two friends who were making a quilt as a wedding present for a mutual friend’s granddaughter. Carolyn agreed to be part of the gift, but since she knew nothing about sewing or quilting, she offered to iron, press, cut, run errands, whatever they needed since she couldn’t help construct the quilt.
After this experience Carolyn says, “I was hooked and I haven’t looked back. I have met some of the most wonderful people and made close friends since I began quilting. I now have my daughter and seven-year-old granddaughter quilting. What fun this has been. Quilters are wonderful! I just completed The Dinner Plate Dahlia pattern by Judy Niemeyer. What a fantastic experience and I look forward to many more. I enjoy sharing my experiences and working with other quilters.”
